The Proper Way To Take A Bath

It’s a long work/ school day and all you want to do when you get home is take a warm bath, if you have the time that is. You turn on the hot water, throw in epsom salts or a bath bomb or nothing if that's what you prefer, and you sit back and relax, maybe listening to some music. But did you ever consider that there may be another way to do it? Maybe a little better to make it more relaxing? Read on to find out more about the "correct way to take a bath."

According to multiple researches, bath water should always be kept at no more than 38 degrees Celsius (100 in Fahrenheit), it’s supposedly the perfect temperature. Water that is too hot actually agitates your nervous system and may cause you to feel dizzy because of the drop in blood pressure. As for the water level, it really shouldn't be to the top, it should be to around your chest areas when laying down and to the stomach when sitting, so it doesn’t put a strain in your back.

As you soak in the water, your body sweats to naturally cool down, which can lead to dehydration so bringing something to drink would lower a chance of a headache or body ache. Plus it help with healthier skin considering you need moisture in your cells.Turn on calming music to drown out any other sounds, it can get stressful, but make sure you don't have any electronics with you. Not only is it dangerous but a bath is for relaxing and breathing in, not spending the time on your phone. If you don't want to just sit there you can always pull out your favorite book.

Candles, bath bombs, Epsom salts, they all have one thing in common: relaxing and aromatic smells. So next time you hop in the tub make sure you consider one of the three; the scents relax any tension built up in your muscles as well as relieve any migraines from stress. Treat yourself! Use a face mask or a hair treatment mask as you sprawl in the tub, I know I always do.

So hopefully now you have a bigger sense as to how you can improve your personal me time in the tub and will try some of these suggestions out! Thank you for reading and remember, you deserve this!
